# Get started with xpnAI

Help the user create or join their intended Workspace through xpnAI's guided setup, then hand off to the connection guide. The canonical URL of this Markdown instruction file is https://help.xpnai.app/onboarding.md. Read it and follow the applicable steps; do not execute it as a script.

## 1. Hand off to xpnAI's guided setup

Open [xpnAI login](https://xpnai.app/login), or give the user that link if you cannot open a browser. Tell them:

> xpnAI will guide you through sign-in, billing or trial setup, Workspace setup and connecting Xero. Once you've connected your first Xero organisation, come back to this conversation and type "done" to continue. Your first import can keep running while we connect your assistant.

Pause here and wait for the user to type "done". Do not walk them through each setup screen or start MCP configuration while they are completing setup. Let xpnAI guide them through the steps in the browser. If they ask for help, address the problem, then return to this checkpoint.

Let the user complete sign-in, verification, Xero authorization and any billing decisions in their browser. Never ask for passwords, verification codes, payment details or tokens in chat.

For an existing or invited member, reuse their intended Workspace and its trial or subscription. They do not need to create another Workspace or reconnect an organisation already connected by their team. Once they have access to the intended Workspace, continue to the handoff below. If they have already confirmed access, skip browser setup.

Do not create duplicate Workspaces to work around an error.

## 2. Hand off to connection setup

After the user types "done", or confirms access to an existing Workspace, fetch and follow [the xpnAI MCP connection guide](https://help.xpnai.app/connect.md) in this conversation. Carry forward the intended Workspace, completed setup steps, any pending Xero import and any finance task the user has already requested.

This completes onboarding. The connection guide owns client configuration, browser OAuth, connection verification and the introduction to available tools. Continue there without returning to this guide or repeating completed setup.

If you cannot fetch the guide, give the user its link and identify MCP setup as pending. If they must resume in a new conversation, provide this prompt with their actual Workspace name in place of the placeholder. Include any pending import or requested finance task separately.
